Hull City 2-3 Manchester United

Hull started the game brightly and after 3 minutes they were awarded a corner that appeared to be a goal kick. From the corner, Huddlestone's cross found the head of Alex Bruce onto James Chester who guided the ball in from close range. The day just got worse for Manchester United after 13 minutes as David Meyler's shot was deflected by Johnny Evans and beat David De Gea to give Hull a 2-0 lead. However, only 6 minutes later Wayne Rooney's free kick was headed in at the far post by Chris Smalling. After 26 minutes a piece of magic by Wayne Rooney, as Wellbeck's pass to the ex-Everton striker led to him scoring a wonder half-volley from 25 yards. Hull were looking like they may hold onto a point, but those hopes were extinguished after 66 minutes when Ashley Young's cross found the head of Chester who headed the ball into his own net in an attempt to stop Rooney heading the ball into the net. Antonio Valencia was sent off just before stoppage time for kicking the ball away when already being booked. Hull had a late chance when Alex Bruce's half volley from 15 yards out was wide of the target.

Aberdeen had a chance after 13 minutes when Niall McGinn's cross found Jonny Hayes who headed it wide of the far post. Motherewell took the lead just after half time when Anier's drive from his own half found him with a 2 on 1 scenario he cut the ball back for Lionel Ansiworth who slotted the ball home from 15 yards to give the Steelmen the lead. Aberdeen had a late chance to equalise when Niall McGinn's free-kick from 30 yards out hit the side-netting in additional time as Motherwell held on for an unlikely win.

The Rangers 1-1 Stranraer
Ibrox Stadium, Att: 45462The game became interesting after 37 minutes when the referee awarded a penalty against the visitors for what appeared to be a dive in the box. As the Stranraer's Frank McKeown merely touched "The Rangers" player Nicky Clarke who fell easily for the penalty to be awarded. Justice was done in the second half as the visitors played better than the League One leaders, but in the 90th minute, Andy Stirling's pass to Jamie Longworth who was totally unmarked and beat Cammy Bell in the home side's goal to give Stranraer a deserved point at Ibrox. This result was the first time The Rangers had not won a game in the League all season.

Cardiff 2-2 Sunderland

The scoring opened after 6 minutes as Mutch scored for the home side from 30 yards out as the assist came from Fraizer Campbell who did some excellent work to create the chance for the goalscorer. Cardiff's second worked the other way around as on the hour mark Mutch passed the ball to Campbell who slotted it home from six yards. Seven minutes from time Scotland international Steven Fletcher scored for Sunderland from Giaccherini's cross. Sunderland equalised in the depths of added time as Colman's shot was deflected past Marshall to give Sunderland a vital point.

St Mirren 1-1 Hearts
Greenhill Road, Att: 4568
St Mirren took the lead after three minutes when Steven Thompson scored for the buddies from 10 yards when the Hearts defence were in each other's road. Jamie Hamill equalised for the bottom club in the Premiership just after half time when his rocketed from 25 yards into the top corner giving Marian Kello no chance in saving it. St Mirren held on for a 1-1 draw. This draw is an important point in Hearts' struggle to survive in the Premiership.
